List of Low Cost Volunteer Opportunities

Disclaimer:

It would be impossible to prepare a totally comprehensive list of low-cost and free volunteer opportunities. Organizations change, some begin to charge money, some will let you negotiate the cost. Some organizations fold, and new ones pop up in their place – frequently charging ridiculous fees.
The list below is just a resource to get your started in your search. I tried not to include the well-known work camps providers.
And as always, use your common sense and read the small print very carefully before you hand anyone your money.
All prices below are in US dollars unless otherwise noted.

And I take no responsibility nor can be held accountable for any loss, injury or inconvenience resulting from the use of information contained in this list.
